There are also many places to go hiking and biking that are not too far away. Make sure to check out the W. Va. Route 9 Bike Path, a ten mile asphalt bike path that runs from Martinsburg to Ranson.
The town of Harpers Ferry is also not too far away. Harpers Ferry is a place packed full of history. The site of John Brown’s Raid, it is a great place to go to learn more about abolitionists and the Civil War.
