Good Shepherd Caregivers 14th Annual Potter’s Bowl
Saturday, March 1st, 2014 – 5:00 pm – Shepherdstown Fire Department
Good Shepherd Caregivers will be hosting its 14th Annual Potter’s Bowl on Saturday, March 1st, 2014. The event will begin at 5:00 pm at Barron Hall at the Shepherdstown Fire Department in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
All the proceeds from the event will go to support the Good Shepherd Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers. The Good Shepherd Caregivers is a nonprofit organization in Jefferson County that provides informal, volunteer caregiving to individuals with disabilities, those who are homebound, and the elderly. Thanks to their volunteers, they can provide free, nonmedical care to those Jefferson County residents who need a little extra support. The organization hopes to help foster a sense of community involvement and belonging. They aim to provide great care regardless of income or other circumstances.
The 14th Annual Potter’s Bowl is not your typical fundraiser. All those who attend the event will receive a pottery bowl that has been hand-crafted in the United States. Some bowls are even hand-crafted by people in the local area. Attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of soups provided by local restaurants and people in the community. There will also be a silent auction where everyone will have a chance to bid on items from local businesses.
The cost to attend this event is a $30 donation, which will go to support the organization and all the work they are doing in Jefferson County. If you have any questions about the event or volunteering with the organization, you can call (304) 876-3325.
