Fourth of July Events in the Charles Town WV AreaAre you looking for something fun to do for the Fourth of July weekend? There are several Fourth of July events in the Charles Town WV area that are taking place. If you live in or around Jefferson County, Sam Michael’s Park is going to be the place to be! The park will be opening their gates at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 5th for a day full of fun Independence Day celebrations. Admission is free, and there is no fee for parking. Photo credit: AngMoKio

The park will feature a variety of entertainment and activities for all ages to enjoy up through 10:00 pm. Live music will have you dancing and clapping your hands. You will also be able to buy delicious food from the food vendors, and you can support local businesses by checking out the “Business Alley” and seeing what the vendors have to offer.

Make sure to bring some chairs or a blanket to claim your spot for the awesome fireworks display that will happen that evening. It is going to be quite a sight to see!

Alcohol, glass containers, and firearms are prohibited during this event. The park will also not be allowing pets to be at the event. Remember, pets are generally quite fearful of fireworks. Holidays like Independence Day can be traumatic for some animals, so make sure you take good care of your pets this weekend and provide a safe and comfortable environment for them.

In the event of rain, the celebration will be rescheduled for Sunday, July 6th. The park is located at 235 Sam Michael’s Lane in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia.

If you live in Berkeley County, you can head on over to War Memorial Park on Friday, July 4th to enjoy some Independence Day activities. The fun will begin at 1:00 pm with food vendors, moon bounces, face-painting and more! Make sure the kids are there from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm for pony rides and a petting zoo. There will also be mini train rides starting at 5:00 pm.

There will be live music at 4:00 pm in the park. You can see the Back Creek Valley Boys and Circa Blue perform. Magician Michael T will also take the stage at 6:00 pm.

The City of Martinsburg will also be setting off a great fireworks display that you won’t want to miss. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm.

Make sure you get out in the community and celebrate this Independence Day at one of the Fourth of July events in the Charles Town WV area. Stay safe and have fun this holiday weekend!
