If you have been looking around to find FUN things to do to pass the cold days then you have come to the right place!  Here we have put together a variety of Eastern Panhandle events for February 2015.  From the Shepherdstown area to Frederick, there is bound to be something going on for you and close to you!

Speak: Shepherdstown Storytelling Series

Adam Booth is a young, professional storyteller from Huntington, West Virginia with a passion for storytelling, music, and teaching.  Booth’s resume is quite impressive; he is a four-time champion of the West Virginia Liars’ Contest, a music and storytelling professor at Shepherd University, and the creator of the Shepherdstown: Speak Story Series.

The Shepherdstown Speak Series was formed in October 2013 and is complied of famous storytellers from around the country.   One of the best part about this series is how they give back to our local community.  10% of all ticket sales will be donated to local organizations.  These series will be held in the Community Club War Memorial Building located at 102 East German St, Shepherdstown West Virginia.

The next Speak Series will be held on February 10th featuring Elizabeth Ellis from Texas.

Ticket Pricing Includes:
$10 in advance
$12 at the door
and $8 for students with a valid Rambler Card

North American Bushcraft School

Try something new this month and think about enrolling in a bushcraft class at the North American Bushcraft School.  NABS is a non-profit organization with a passion for educating sustainable and primitive living techniques.  This bushcraft school in particular is known for being relatively cheap with the proceeds being donated to various organizations and charities.

By definition bushcraft is the skill of living in the bush.  NABS offers a variety of workshops and classes that will sharpen your outdoor skills.  Other classes offered are Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder training.

Blue Moon Cafe

Located on E. High Street in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, the Blue Moon Cafe is a unique gem to the town.  Offering up a variety of food choices to everyone including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, the Blue Moon Cafe is a great place to check out.
