Eastern Panhandle WV Holiday Celebrations
It’s that time of year again! The holiday season is here, and the Eastern Panhandle is getting ready to celebrate. There are events taking place all throughout the panhandle the next month, and we are here to tell you about them so you don’t miss out! November 27th, 2015
Christmas in Shepherdstown – The town of Shepherdstown will be celebrating Christmas all month long with a variety of Christmas in Shepherdstown events. The celebration begins on Friday, November 27th with several events including the lighting of the town tree at 6:15 pm. Check out the Shepherdstown Visitor’s Center website for the full schedule of events.
Tree Lighting in Martinsburg – The town of Martinsburg will be lighting their Christmas tree in the Town Square at 6:00 pm. Santa will be there to hand out goodies to the children.
Charles Town Tree Lighting – The town of Charles Town will be lighting their tree at the 100 Block of North George Street at 7:00 pm. Santa will read “The Night Before Christmas.”
November 28th, 2015
Old Town Christmas Parade – Downtown Martinsburg will host its annual Christmas parade on Saturday starting at 5:45 pm.
Ranson Tree Lighting Ceremony – The town of Ranson will be lighting their tree at Lancaster Circle at 6:00 pm.
December 3rd, 2015
Jingle Downtown Event – Downtown Martinsburg will be hosting Jingle Downtown from 4:00 pm – 8 pm on Thursday to benefit Christmas Cash for Kids. The event is $20 and will start at the HUB at 4:00 pm.
December 4th, 2015
Old Tyme Christmas – The 45th Annual Old Tyme Christmas celebration in Harpers Ferry will take place December 4th, 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th. Take a look at the schedule of events on the Historic Harpers Ferry website.
Blue Ridge Community College Holiday Social – Blue Ridge Community and Technical College will host a special holiday social with hors d’oeuvres and dessert, music, and more beginning at 5:30 pm.
December 5th, 2015
Breakfast with Santa – Independent Fire Company in Ranson will host its annual breakfast event from 7:00 am – 11:00 am.
Charles Town and Ranson Christmas Parade – The parade will begin at 2:00 pm.
Holiday Gala Concert – Listen to Big Band era and modern holiday music at the Frank Arts Center at Shepherd University at 7:30 pm.
December 6th, 2015
South Berkeley Christmas 5K – There will be a 5K at Musselman High School that will benefit the Berkeley County Humane Society. The race begins at 2:00 pm. Online registration ends Dec. 5th.
December 10th, 2015
Chamber Holiday Mixer – The Tate House in Charles Town will host the mixer from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
The Nutcracker – Inwood Performaing Arts Company will perform from December 10th through December 13th at Mussleman High School.
December 11th, 2015
United Way Jingle and Mingle Holiday Luncheon and Raffle – The event will take place at Golden Corral in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Lunch tickets are $12, and raffle tickets are $5 or three for $10.
December 15th, 2015
Shepherdstown Community Club (SCC) Holiday Dinner – The dinner will take place at the War Memorial Building in Shepherdstown from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
December 19th, 2015
Dramatic Reading of “A Christmas Carol” and Reception – Head on over to the Black Box Arts Center at 8:00 pm.
